STANLEY boss John Coleman has said it is "news to me" that he has been linked with the managerial vacancy at Chester.

Simon Davies left the Deva Stadium last week and Coleman has been linked with the vacancy a number of times over the years - especially on various message boards.

"It is news to me," said the Reds chief. "I just get linked with it as I am a football manager from nearby."
