IAN Craney is backing the management duo of John Coleman and Jimmy Bell to turn Accrington's fortunes around sooner rather than later.

The highly-rated midfielder has moved to Swansea on loan with a view to a permanent deal next month in a move he felt he couldn't turn down.

But he believes, following his and Gary Roberts' departure to higher league clubs, that Coleman will unearth more gems and the Reds will end their current losing streak.

"I am sure John can get another new crop of players in and they will go on and do well again," said Craney. "There are still a lot of good players at Accrington and I believe Coley and Jimmy will turn it around.

"It is hard as not winning does start to play on the lads' minds so once they get the first win, I am sure they will go on and get plenty more.

"It is amazing how quickly things can turn around. Six weeks ago, when Accrington beat Torquay, we were talking about the play-offs. They have since slipped down the table but I am sure the players can put a run together equally quickly and get back up there again."
