STANLEY have cancelled the contract of defender Julien N'Da by mutual agreement after he suffered medial ligament damage in training.

The 21-year-old, who has won international honours with the Ivory Coast, had spent a good deal of time on the bench this season and his short-term contract would have been up at Christmas.

N'Da was signed by Reds' boss John Coleman in May but he failed to pin down a regular place in the side.

Formerly with FC Rouen, he is expected to return to France to continue his career.
