Accrington Stanley captain Andy Procter has welcomed a home draw in the FA¿Cup and knows League One Oldham are beatable.

The Reds were drawn against Paul Dickov’s mid-table Latics a week tomorrow in the first round with a welcome £18,000 up for grabs to the winners.

"I was watching the draw on Sunday and you live in fear of getting someone like Plymouth away," said the Reds skipper, who is suspended for his last game tomorrow against Cheltenham.

"I think it’s the seventh time we have been drawn at home in the FA¿Cup so we do seem to have some luck.

"A non-league side can be a bit of an unknown quantity - although we got past Salisbury last season - but we know enough about Oldham and we do fancy our chances in a home game.

"The money means a lot to the club and they are always massive games. We got to the fourth round last year and faced Fulham and it was a great time for the club and we want a repeat. Any FA¿Cup match always has a special atmosphere about it."

Latics manager Dickov said: "I would have liked a home game and it will be hard going there but it’s a game we feel we can win."
