Gills star Josh Gowling is out to help his side end their 17 month run without an away win tomorrow at Accrington.
The Gills fans did not see a victory on their travels at all last season but the defender said: "We don’t think about our away record, that was last year in a different league under a different manager. It is not on any of our minds and we go into every game expecting to win.
"I think we are a lot more ogranised, a lot more disciplined and I think a lot more players have grown up since last year.
"We have got a new gaffer in Andy Hessenthaler and he expects a lot from us and hopefully we will deliver."
Gowling, 26, was part of the then League One Gills squad who lost to Accrington 1-0 in the second round of the FA¿Cup last season and he admitted to the Gills website: "The game at Accrington wasn’t brilliant. It was one of those horrible games and we knew it was going to be like that.
"They outworked us and Stimmo (then manager Mark Stimson) wasn’t happy with us at the end and he had every right to be because we allowed ourselves to get bullied.
"It will probably be similar on Saturday, they’re going to hit it long, it’s going to be windy and, no disrespect, but it’s not the best stadium in the world."
