Greyhound Ford The Under 14s turned in a magnificent performance at weekend against Huncoat United Black winning 3-1 and playing the whole match with just 10 men.

With just 10 minutes played an excellent shot from Jordan Maden was followed up by Dylan Henry who headed home from close range to give Greyhound an early lead.

Ten minutes later a defensive scramble in the Huncoat area led to a loose ball falling to Dylan Henry who easily converted to make it 2-0.

Just after the half-time break, Huncoat came back strongly and were rewarded when Harry Wissett in goal after a number of fine saves, spilled a vicious shot to make it 2-1.

As the game went on, the 10 men of Greyhound had to dig deep on their energy resources and were rewarded on 65 minutes when  Matt Ingham pulled the ball across the box for Dylan Henry to slot home to celebrate his hat-trick and subsequently pick up the referee’s man-of-the-match award.

A well deserved win for the second week running. Next week sees Greyhound take on title contenders Brierfield Celtic White.
