PAUL MULLIN is confident Accrington Stanley will continue to be the entertainers.

The Reds are goal-happy at the moment with six in their last two games and it is 100 league matches since they last had a goalless draw.

And they go to one of the league’s high-flyers Barnet on Saturday with the star striker sure the goals will continue to flow.

"I just don’t think we have a nil-nil in us," said the 33-year-old frontman.

"I can’t see a goalless draw arising again when I am at the club. We will always make chances and there are always opportunities.

"There is one thing you can say about us - we are entertaining!"

Mullin has been playing up front alongside Leighton McGivern and Roscoe Dsane over the last two games with Dsane stealing the show with a cheeky goal in Friday’s 3-2 win over Macclesfield. The striker was clean through, he stopped the ball almost on the goalline, got down on all fours and headed it in.

"Don’t expect me to do that," said seven-goal striker Mullin. "I wouldn’t be confident enough that it would go in but fair play to Roscoe.

"He is on fire at the moment and I am enjoying playing with him. He looks really sharp and hasn’t looked back since Bradford really.

"He has had a go at me about having to do all the work and me getting the tap-ins but it is about time - I do love my tap-ins!"

He continued: "I am, though, happy with seven goals this season. It is better than this time last year at this level and I have just got to keep my head down and hopefully get a few more."

Stanley have had six wins and six defeats in their 12 league games so far but lie tenth in the table - three points off the play-offs.

"You never know where a good run can take you and that’s what we are aiming for - to get some consistency," said Mullin as the Reds chalked up their first back to back wins since March - and now go on the hunt for three in a row, last achieved in February 2006.

"Something we haven’t quite mastered yet as a team is consistency and we need to get a few more wins under our belt and it would be an ideal time to go on a run.

"And it is better to be winning and losing than a run of draws.

"We have just got to keep amassing those points though. We are not far off the play-offs now and we have got to continue picking up results as you never know what can happen.

"Anyone can beat anyone in this league."

But they couldn’t have picked a trickier task on Saturday as Barnet - who, off the field, are embroiled in plans to upgrade their ground or face expulsion from the league - are probably the surprise package after struggling with the Reds near the bottom last season.

They are in fifth spot, despite making 13 changes from last season and losing key players in Dean Sinclair, Simon King and Nicky Bailey.

But manager Paul Fairclough has got some young, hungry talent at the club who are so far doing the business.

Mullin continued: "Paul Fairclough is a good manager, shown by the fact he manages the non league England side.

"It looks, at the moment, like he has got the right blend and we have had some mixed results there."

But last season was a high where the Reds won - and it was the start of Andy Procter turning into a midfield goal machine.

"It is good Procky is getting some goals this season," said Mullin with his room-mate on five goals this season."You have got to have goals from around the team and it is important not to be reliant on one person."

Meanwhile, Reds boss Coleman has picked out the Bees striker Liam Hatch as the dangerman - he has scored four goals in five games.

"Liam Hatch is getting into a bit of form at the moment after coming back from injury," said the Reds chief. "I watched them against Stockport and there wasn’t a lot in it but Barnet were clinical in front of goal."

Rommy Boco is struggling with a back injury and will go for a scan. The Benin international had a back injury this time last year which sidelined him for a few months and Coleman admitted they were treating him gentley. "It is a worry. We are sending him to see a specialist as we have got to be careful," he said.

Loan midfielder Ian Craney played about an hour in the 3-1 reserve defeat at Blackpool on Wednesday night as he looks to come back from a hamstring injury and seems likely to feature in the squad tomorrow at Barnet.

But the back luck continues for defender Phil Edwards as, on his comeback from a back injury, he had to have four stitches following a clash of heads.
