JOHN Coleman has been nominated for the Coca-Cola Manager of the Month for December – and could stop rival boss Keith Hill winning his second award of the season.

Rochdale are leaders of League Two and are 13 points clear of fourth placed Shrewsbury with Hill winning the top prize in September.

But Coleman is challenging Hill, although the Dale boss does have an unbeaten record in December and his side scored 19 goals in their six matches.

Stanley lost to Leeds in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and their December league record was spoilt by a 4-2 loss to Bury on December 28.

Morecambe’s Sammy McIlroy and Aldershot’s Kevin Dillon are also in the frame but it looks like it could be between Hill and Coleman with the winner announced on Soccer AM tomorrow morning.
