LUTEL James wants Accrington Stanley to keep 11 players on the pitch tomorrow at Barnet so he can do what he does best - and score goals.

The striker has had to fall back into midfield three times this season as Jamie Speare, Paul Cook and Dean Calcutt have all seen red.

Calcutt was the latest, dismissed on 28 minutes for two bookable offences in the 1-1 draw at Tamworth on Saturday. But James has set himself a target of 20 goals this season - and knows he can't get them if he is in midfield.

He said: "I want to get the goals so we have to keep 11 players on the pitch. We should have had three points on Saturday and we can't throw points away like that as you don't know what kind of run we will go on next.

"Losing a man means we have to work hard and it means I can't do my job as I have to drop back. And we were punished in the last few minutes on Saturday when we were tiring.

"I am not blaming anybody - a couple of seasons ago I was the one getting sent off. I have tried to keep my head although I know I have been lucky in some situations in the last few seasons.

"We are all in this together but we have got to keep our discipline."

Barnet will be without their top scorer Giuliano Grazioli who took a knock on his ankle after scoring a hat-trick in the win over Halifax on Saturday.

"He has been getting rave reviews," said manager John Coleman. "But we can't worry about the opposition - we have got to be more concerned with ourselves."

He has been disappointed with the dismissals - but is more angry at the officials than the players.

He said: "I have watched the video and still can't see why Dean was sent off. He admits he shouldn't have got involved but it was ludicrous.

"But I don't think there is a lot to change with the team. There wasn't a lot wrong with the performance for the first 20 minutes and if we carry on playing like that, we will win more games than we will lose. There are specific areas to improve but I am happy with our start and we will start taking our chances."

Striker John Durnin, who has missed three games following the death of his dad, is back in contention.

Meanwhile, Michael Knowles and Darren Connell have both gone on loan to UniBond Premier Division side Burscough, managed by former Red Mike Marsh.
