STANLEY chairman Eric Whalley said he expects to hear the outcome of the Football Association’s match-fixing investigation soon.
Stanley’s 2-0 loss to Bury on the final day of last season was being looked into by the FA after irregular betting patterns were found on the match.
The FA had already taken telephone numbers and details of all the Stanley staff.
"I think the case is now well on. It has moved quickly," said the chairman.
"There have been a lot of interviews going on and it is getting near to a conclusion now."
