WINGER John Miles has mixed feelings if he plays against his Stanley team-mates for League Two leaders MK Dons on Easter Monday.

The 26-year-old is on loan at Stadium:Mk from the Reds until the end of the season and there is nothing in the winger’s contract to say he can’t play against Accrington.

He is desperate to start as he would love to have enough games under his belt to qualify for a League Two promotion medal this season with MK.

But he does know it is a tricky one as he still has one year left on his Stanley contract and could be back at the FES next season.

"I am not sure how many games you need to win a medal - I have started four so far - but I would love to get one," said Miles.

"That may mean playing against Accrington if I get the chance and MK Dons don’t seem to think there is anything in my contract which says I can’t play.

"It will be strange as I still keep in touch with a lot of the Accrington lads and I could be there next season with them as I don’t know what will happen in the summer.

"I will just have to wait and see."

Miles admits the move to the MK Dons in January has paid off for him after he was in and out of the Stanley team.

"I didn’t think I would play a lot of games when I came here but I just wanted the chance to impress Paul Ince again," said the ex-Macclesfield man.

"I have started the last four games and we have won them all so I am hoping I will keep my place over the next few games.

"I am playing with some really good players here who should be playing in the Championship and I am learning a lot.

"My big disappointment though is missing out at playing at Wembley in front of 80,000 people a week on Sunday in the Johnstone Paint’s Trophy final.

"But we have a big game tonight against second placed Peterborough so we are geared up for that."

Stanley manager John Coleman admitted he wasn’t aware of what Miles’ deal said about his move to MK.

"I am not sure what is in the contract but it would be hard if he played against us - especially if he scored as that would be hard to take," he said.
