JUNIOR FOOTBALL ROUND-UP: HUNCOAT United's Under nines were 4-2 winners over Greyhound Ford while the Under 10s Saturday lost 4-3 to Burnley West End.

The Under 10s Allstars lost 4-1 to Belthorn with Huncoat’s goal scored by Callum Savage.

The Under 10s Badgers were 2-0 victors over Oswaldtwistle Rangers. Dylan Liddle and Manager’s MOTM Max Verlander were the scorers.

The Under 11s suffered a 2-1 loss to Pendle Forest Green while the Under 12s lost 5-2 to Crown Paints Green on Sunday. Both Huncoat’s goals were scored by Chris Dwyer while Spencer Harris was MOTM.

The Under 14s won 2-1 against Haslingden Red on Sunday while the Under 16s lost out by a single goal to Crown Paints Green.

CHURCH: The Under 11s lost 5-1 at Clitheroe Wolves Blue. Church were slow off the mark and were 1-0 down after 35 seconds. They rallied through striker Kaleb Haq but then the home side took control. Manager’s MOTM was Jafar Ajlouni.

The Under 16s also lost 5-1 to Blackburn Town. Church’s only goal came from a bullet header from Ellis Shaw. There was a solid midfield display from Chris Bowker and Manager’s MOTM Jacob Taylor.

MILL HILL: In the senior games, Mill Hill lost 4-3 to Worsthorne while, in the Blackburn Combination, Mill Hill were scoring for fun with a 14-2 win over Hordens. Haggart got four, Gray three while Emmett and Duckworth scored two each. Pugh, Cooke and Ashton finished it off.

On Saturday, in the Accrington and District League, the Under Nines Red were 11-0 winners over Wilpshire Blue. Tasdemir scored six and Shaw two with Ward, Gurjee and Javad hitting the others.

The Under nines Blue ran out 3-0 winners over Wilpshire Red with Barber, Almond and Callum Newton on target.

The Under 10s drew 2-2 with Whalley while Harwood scored both the Under 11 goals but Mill Hill lost 3-2 to Wilpshire.

The Under 14s celebrated a 3-2 win over Ossy FC with Ginger, Jones and Dickinson the goal heroes.

Hoctor scored twice as the Under 16s won 2-0 against Great Harwood.

In the girls league, Dudgeon scored a hat-trick as the Under 10s won 3-1 against Preston North End.

On Sunday, Mill Hill put 17 past Elephant and Castle in the LFA Sunday Trophy.

The reserves were 2-0 winneres over Acme with Drugan and Collinson the scorers.

In the East Lancs Alliance League, the Under eights Red were 3-1 winners over Rossendale United with Ngongo scoring twice and James the other.

The Under eight White lost 2-1 to Padiham Saints and the Blue side were 4-0 winners over Clitheroe Wolves. Newton (two), Gilgunn and an own goal sealed the win.

The Under nines Red won 2-1 against Feniscowles Blue with Almond and O’Brien on target.

The Under nines Blue lost 1-0 to Whalley while the Under 10s Red ran out 4-1 winners over Ossy St Marys.

The Under 10s Blue put three past Mellor in a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Longworth (two) and Radley.

The Under 11s suffered an 8-0 loss to Langho Maroon while the Under 13s were 7-0 winners over Blackburn Warriors. Mulcrone (two), Poulton (two), Shaw, Skinner and Butterworth were the goal scorers.

Johnston was the scorer as the Under 14s lost 3-1 to Palace House.

GREAT HARWOOD ROVERS: The Under 10s made it six wins out of six with a 4-1 victory against Blackburn Eagles. Goalscorers were Zac Geldard (three) and Nathan Cox.

The Under 11s were 6-1 winners over Rossendale Valley Red. Oliver Cruse and George Ramsbottom got the first two before Cruse added a third. Rossendale made it 3-1 at half-time. Ramsbottom scored his second and then came the goal of the match when substitute Jack Woodcock fired home from 20 yards. Cruse made it a third hat-trick of the season with the sixth.

RISHTON UNITED: The Under eights were 2-0 winners over Pendle Forest Panthers. MOTM Sam Steer opened the scoring in the second half with a thunderbolt and grabbed the second.

The Under 11s Red lost 3-1 to Briercliffe. They trailed 3-0 at the break and Rishton keeper Danny Cobbold also saved a penalty. Joseph Aspin got one back and MOTM was Matt Aspinall.

On Saturday, in the Accrington and District League the Under 11s Blue lost 8-0 to Clitheroe Wolves Red. There were positives for Rishton with Danny Cobold having another great game in goal while Matt Aspinall and Tom Bartley worked tirelessly at the back. MOTM was Keenan O'Carroll.

The Under 12s competed in the ADJFL 50th anniversary tournament held at Witton Park. In the main competition, Rishton lost 1-0 to Clayton Park Rangers and then went into the Consolation Cup. Again they lost 1-0 to Barrowford Celtic as they did not take their chances.

The Under 14s, with a bare 11 players, lost 1-0 to Crown Paints Yellow. They were unlucky with the Crown keeper pulling off a stunning save from Brad Campbell’s rocket.

The Under 15s drew 5-5 with Borrowdale United in a ten goal thriller. Kyle Driver equalised before an own goal put Rishton 2-1 ahead. Borrowdale equalised before Liam Mcnulty once more put Rishton ahead but it was 3-3 at half-time.  United went 4-3 up but a Kane Barker shot got it back to 4-4. Liam Mcnulty thought he had grabbed the winner but again Borrowdale got the game back on level terms to finish the scoring. Referee’s MOTM was Liam Mcnulty while Rishton’s MOTM was Scott Corbett.

KNUZDEN: A depleted Under 17s side lost 2-0 to Fulledge Colts in the East Lancs Alliance League. MOTM was defender Aaron Peacock. Player of the Month award for September was striker Scott Robinson.

GREYHOUND FORD: The Under 10s lost 1-0 to Rossendale Valley. Both sides hit the woodwork in the first half but it finished goalless. Ford hit the post twice more after the break but Rossendale grabbed the only goal of the game. Manager’s MOTM was Brooklyn Cross.
