STANLEY manager John Coleman has said loan keeper Rob Elliot is staying with the Reds.
The goalie was seen saying good-bye to his team-mates after his penalty shoot-out heroics against Blackpool on Tuesday night which sparked the belief that the 20-year-old was returning to Premiership side Charlton.
However, on Wednesday, Coleman said Elliot was still a big part of the Reds squad.
And, when asked if it was true the highly-rated stopper was off, the Reds boss said: "No, that's definitely not right."
The club also confirmed that Elliot is still a loan player with them and that they expect him to travel to Peterborough with the squad tomorrow (Sat).
