JOHN Coleman was not worried that he would be pitting his wits against ex-England boss Sven Goran Eriksson who has taken over as Director of Football at Notts County.

"He is not going to make the players they have got any better," said the Reds boss.

"The plus point is that he might be able to attract the better players to sign for him because of his name and good luck to them.

"From my own point of view, I do not think he is any better manager than me. He has had great opportunities in his life but if he had to manage on a shoe-string budget for the last few years, that would be a test of his managerial skills.

"He may be looking foward to pitting his wits against me."
