IT WAS a frustrating Bank Holiday weekend for Accrington Stanley as they claimed only one point out of six in their two matches.
On Saturday the Reds crashed at home, going down 2-1 to Exeter City. Paul Mullin missed a penalty before putting Stanley ahead in the 58th minutes. But goals from Craig Watkins and Chris Todd saw the Grecians take the points back to Devon.
And Monday saw Stanley throw away a two-goal lead to allow Scarborough to grab an unlikely draw.
A Steve Jagielka strike in the opening seconds and a penalty from skipper Peter Cavanagh had put the Reds in charge. But the home side hit back through Mark Quayle and Jake Speight, and left Stanley kicking themselves.
