PETER Cavanagh admits Accrington Stanley will feel the pressure when they travel to Atherton LR in the round two of the Lancashire FA Marsden Trophy.

The Reds captain lifted the cup in 2002, while Stanley lost in a two-legged final to fellow Conference side Morecambe last season.

Now they kick off this season's campain with a trip to the NWCL Division One side on Tuesday night (ko 7.45pm).

While it might not be high on the list of priorites with the Conference, FA Trophy and Conference Cup still to battle for, Cavanagh knows manager John Coleman will expect his side to go far in the Trophy.

"We are on a hiding to nothing in this competition," said the captain.

"Both us and Morecambe are expected to win our early games and we will be regarded as a scalp by the other sides.

"When we were in the UniBond League, it was a case of going out and seeing how we got on but now we are expected to win and there is more pressure

"We couldn't contemplate a defeat at Atherton."
