ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has no injury worries ahead of Saturday's clash against the Gulls.

Wing wizard Rory Prendergast is also set for an eagerly-awaited return to action following an operation.

The Reds boss confirmed: "I am hoping to bring Rory back. We have certainly missed his crosses. We haven't had an out-and-out winger for some time and he will give us more options going forward."

And Coleman hasn't ruled out preferring Danny Alcock to seasoned stopper Paul Crichton.

He said: "Danny may get a game on Saturday."

Stanley seek to bounce back from their disappointing 3-0 loss against table-topping Barnet. Coleman said: "We gave a good account of ourselves and were unlucky not to get anything.

"As long as we keep ourselves focused there is no reason why we can't get another result like the one against Northwich."

Conference new boys Canvey Island should not be underestimated, the boss said. "They are quite an open side and they have got some good lads. They will want to make a game of it and put one over on us at home," Coleman said.

And he welcomed new keeper Paul Crichton to the squad, saying: "He is a very experienced keeper and should do well for us."

  • ACCRINGTON Stanley will make their second live Sky Television appearance this season against Halifax Town. The away tie has been moved from New Year's Day to Monday 3 January, kick-off 12.05pm. This will be the fifth time the Reds have featured in a live televised match in the last 16 months.
