KNUZDEN YOUTH: The Under 16s got back to action after weeks of postponed games in the Training 2000 Accrington and District League.
It was a solid display with a 6-0 win over Ossy FC. It was 4-0 at half-time with all the first half goals scored by Referee’s and Knuzden’s MOTM Jamie McKay. Ricky McGrew came on for the second half and scored twice. There was also outstanding displays from midfielders Jake Wolstencroft and Declan Heys.

HUNCOAT UNITED: The Under nines had a rare defeat, losing 3-0 against St Josephs.
On Sunday, the Under nine Badgers had a better morning overcoming Akzo Green 6-1. MOTM was Lewis Honey who scored twice while Danny Leeming, Lewis Eccles, Joe Lloyd and Dylan Liddle scored one each.
The Under nines Allstars lost a close encounter against Blue Star, Kean De Gouveia scored the goal in a 2-1 defeat while Dominic Ashley was MOTM.
The Under 11s White also lost - 4-2 against Knuzden while the Under 11s Red had a good win, beating Ighten Leigh 2-1 with Spencer Harris scoring both goals and Zac Bannan was MOTM.
The Under 11 Allstars lost 5-1 against a strong Barrowford Celtic, MOTM Chris Dwyer scored the goal.
Huncoat’s Under 12s lost 2-0 against Rossendale Valley while the Under 13s drew 2-2 against Akzo Green.
On Saturday, the Under 14s lost 3-1 against Pendle Forest with MOTM Elliott Neil grabbing the goal.
The Under 14s had a much better day on Sunday, beating Mellow 5-2, thanks to a goal each from Ryan Pearson, Josh Coo, Jake Whitehead, Adam Smith and MOTM Matt Fearon.
The Under 15s lost 3-1 against Pendle Forest, MOTM Steven Astbury scored the goal.
OSSY RANGERS: The Under eights put in a tremendous performance but lost 1-0 to Akzo. They played with a player short.
Meanwhile, the Under 12s continued their successful season overcoming Blackburn Warriors 3-1. Daniel Leech (two) and Gabriel Whelan found the net with Sam Etherington MOTM for a fantastic all-round display.
RISHTON UNITED ; In the North Valley League, the Under 10s lost 5-1 to Barnoldswick Town. They trailed 3-0 at half-time but, in the second half, Rishton got back into it with a Joseph Aspin goal but Town took control. MOTM Daniel Holden pulled of some excellent saves.
In the Blackburn, Darwen and Hyndburn District League, the Under 14s lost 3-0 to Lammack while the Under 15s had a 1-0 loss to Barrowford Celtic.
In the Accrington and District Junior League, the Under nines won 1-0 against Church FC with Bradley Bodie the goal hero.
In the Under 10s, Rishton United won 4-0 against Church while the Under 11s ran out 1-0 winners over Baxenden Villa. It was a big game for Rishton who were in third place in the league prior to the game, four points head of Villa. Charlie Feeney scored the only goal with MOTM Keiran Higham.
Next week Rishton entertain Barrowford Celtic (Ko 10. 45am).
The Under 13s lost 4-2 to Akzo Yellow while the Under 14s Blue drew 3-3 with Brierfield Celtic. Liam McNulty opened the scoring with a 20-yard strike before John O’ Connell made it two just before half-time.
Brierfield came back after the break to lead 3-2 but Hassan Akhtar scored the equaliser. Referee’s MOTM was Liam McNulty while Manager’s MOTM was John O'Connell.
The Under 15s lost 7-0 to Akzo Green.
CHURCH: The Under 10s are still looking for that elusive point as they lost 4-0 to Rishton. Church did have their chances through Joshua Chadwick, Kalub Haq Tomas Smith and MOTM Cameron Noone.
ST JOSEPHS : A depleted Under 14 side only managed to draw 2-2 against bottom of the table Wilpshire Wanderers.
Wilpshire took the lead early on and made it 2-0 shortly before half-time despite St Josephs having a lot of the possession. Drew Bramley restored some pride with two well-taken goals.
The Under 11s ran out 3-2 winners against Padiham Saints. Ben Evans got St Josephs off to a good start with Devon Booth quickly adding a second.
Padiham led a spirited fightback but, with minutes to go, Jack Kerans scored the winner for St Joseph's. Dec Southward was MOTM.
The Under 13s beat Burnley Knights 6-4. Josh Snape scored three but it was his all-round play that earned him MOTM.
Liam Richmond opened his account scoring one, Connor Southward and Ben Brierley also got on the scoresheet. As the game progressed, Burnley led a brave fightback. Zak Graham marshalled the back line well, though, to ensure the Saints held on.
AGSA : It wasn’t a good start to the year for the Under 12s as they lost both their fixtures. Having not trained for weeks, they lost 11-1 to Myerscough. Agsa’s goal was scored by Laura Starkie with POTM Lucy Chadwick.
Then they lost 3-0 to Barnoldswick Barons. Lucy Chadwick was again named POTM.
The Under 15s first league game since mid-October ended in a 5-3 victory over Wilpshire Wanderers.
Four goals were scored by POTM Becky Holt-McEwan and the other goal came from captain Amy Sturgess.
GREAT HARWOOD ROVERS. The Under nines started off the new year by beating bottom club Akzo Green 8-1. The goalscorers were Zac Gelderd (three), Callum Hesketh (three) and one each for Nathan Cox and Callum Donohue.
The Under 10s ran out comfortable 8-0 winners over Rishton United. MOTM Jack Woodcock scored a hat-trick, Oliver Cruse and George Ramsbottom scored two each and George Nightingale grabbed the other.
