ACCRINGTON Stanley stars past and present turned up on Friday night at the launch of the Reds’ exhibition "The club that wouldn’t die."

David Cocker, son of Stanley legend Les, came along with his dad’s scrapbooks and George Stones brought his own memorabilia.

Of the present day staff, manager John Coleman was there alongside Kenny Arthur, Paul Mullin, Andy Procter, Andrew Smith and Chris Turner.

All browsed around the exhibition, organised by the Supporters Club and with the help of money from the Heritage Lottery fund, which tells the history of Stanley with words, pictures and videos of games as well as displaying items such as old strips and medals.

It is a complete history of the club and well worth a look.

THE free exhibition is being held at the lecture room at Accrington Library from now until the end of August from 10am-4pm, excluding Wednesdays and Sundays.
