John Coleman thinks Doncaster are a shining example to his side.

It was only in 2003 that Rovers were in the Conference - winning the play-off final that year against Dagenham - and are now in the Championship with a recently built Keepmoat stadium and their sights set on the Premiership.

Coleman said: "Just looking at the stadium is testament to how far Doncaster have come, and if anybody should be held up as a shining light to what you want to try and become this is certainly it.

"I'm sure they’ll do very well in the Championship this season. They've got a very good manager in Sean O’Driscoll and, when they’ve got a full team out, they're a very good side.

"I would cetainly like to see a club like Doncaster do well with the rescources they have got, the manager they have got and the way they have climbed the pyramid in such a sort space of time should be encouragement to everyone."
