HUNCOAT United Under nines won 6-1 against Rossendale Valley Yellow.
The Under 10s beat Haslingden on Saturday, racing into a 3-0 lead within five minutes. The best goal of the game was a toss up between Archie Twist’s individual effort where he outpaced a defender in his own half and coolly slotted past the keeper or Harry Boyle’s bullet strike from 25 yards which flew into the roof of the net. Henry Hindle celebrated a hat-trick in the game, Dylan Liddle, Joe Lloyd and Joel Fox got one each alongside the two stunners. MOTM was keeper Callum Rarely who made two good saves and kept out a penalty.
The Under 10 Allstarts lost 1-0 to Clitheroe Wolves Yellow while the Under 10 Badgers secured promotion to the Red League thanks to Lewis Eccles first half goal and a second half hat-trick from Dylan Liddle. Max Verlander was given opposition MOTM for a tireless display and two assists. Dylan Liddle was Manager’s MOTM while Captain’s Performance was Lewis Eccles.
The Under 11s lost 5-0 to Clitheroe Wolves Blue while the Under 12s won 6-4 against Knuzden. James Kelly scored a first half hat-trick to make it 3-1 at half-time. Knuzden soon made it 3-2 and then levelled before Harrison Field again put Huncoat in front. Connor Demain gave them a two-goal advantage to make it 5-3 before Knuzden got one back. Harrison though got the sixth to seal the points. MOTM was James Kelly.
The Under 12s won 4-0 on Sunday, seeing off Langho while the Under 14s beat Mill Hill 2-1.
The Under 16s lost 3-0 toMill Hill.
OSSY RANGERS: The Under nines lost 3-0 to Feniscowles with Alfie Cook the MOTM.
The Under 10s also lost their 10 match unbeaten run losing 4-0 to Huncoat Badgers despite a MOTM performance from Dylan Thompson.
The Under 13s suffered a heavy 7-0 defeat to Mill Hill but showed great character in the second half after being five down at half-time. Dane Winter was MOTM.
GREAT HARWOOD ROVERS: The Under 10s gained another three points with a 3-1 home win against a stubborn Belthorn side. Scorers were Zac Geldard and two for midfielder Cameron Grice.
The Under 10s then went back to the top of the league with a 3-1 win over Blackburn Eagles. Goalscorers were Nathan Cox and a brace for Zac Geldard.
RISHTON UNITED: In Saturday’s Accrington and District League, the Under 12s lost 10-0 at Fulledge Colts. Fulledge were a hard proposition having won all their 16 games and led 5-0 at half-time.
The Under 13s were 7-1 winners over Mill Hill Blue. Kegan Dobson scored a hat-trick, Oliver Regan grabbed two while Dylan Palmer and Daniel Heppenstall were on target. It was Daniel’s first goal for Rishton this season. Referee’s MOTM was Morgan Cooper.
The Under 14s drew 1-1 with Nelson while the Under 15s were 4-1 losers to Clitheroe. Elliott Kinder supplied the header for Liam McNulty to score for Rishton who saw several chances go wide late in the game. MOTM was Elliott Kinder.
The Under 16s won 3-1 against Pendle Forest.
In the Blackburn Combination, the Seniors were 4-2 winners over Hollins Grove Con Club while the Reserves won 2-0 against Enty and the A team lost 3-0 to Feniscowles.
In the North Valley League on Sunday, the Under eights suffered a 4-1 defeat to Pendle Forest White. The Rishton scorer and MOTM was Tom Stamp although keeper Declan Mercer pulled off a stunning save.
