STANLEY boss John Coleman admitted that he was glad to see smiles after the Macclesfield win.
The 19th placed Reds stopped an eight game winless run on Tuesday as they plunged closer to the relegation zone.
And Coleman said: "You could see that the lads were getting frustrated and were close to tears at times after games so it is nice to see the pleasure on their faces and it is a relief they have finally got a win.
"Hopefully now we have the confidence and belief going into Notts County and Port Vale.
"We have 11 cup finals until the end of the season and everyone is going to be a battle and we will not be shirking them.
"We want to build on the Macclesfield win and we will get our heads down, work hard and see where it takes us."
