Stanley are hoping to sign midfielder Bryan Hughes on a more permanent deal.

The 35-year-old is on non-contract terms with the Reds and has impressed.

And chief executive Rob Heys said: "We are hoping to sit down with Bryan this week and sort out a permanent deal."

Several clubs are said to have shown an interest in the former Charlton and Birmingham player who returned from playing in Iceland in the summer before joining the Reds. He scored his first Stanley goal in the 3-1 win over Torquay on Saturday.
