ACCRINGTON Stanley need to see off one of their bogey teams if they are to get back on the winning trail at home tomorrow.

The Reds face Notts County - a team they have played four times in the Football League and have lost all of them.

However, the Magpies have yet to win this season and Stanley are desperate to get back to winning ways after two successive league losses - their latest a 2-1 loss at Exeter. But John Coleman is battling with injuries with five players struggling in their already small squad.

Ian Dunbavin (knee), Bobby Grant (knee) and Andy Procter (knee) are definitely out. Procter has a Grade 2 tear of his medial ligament and will be out for a couple of weeks.

Leam Richardson is also struggling with a pelvic strain and is expected to sit out this weekend as well.

Colin Murdock (thigh) should be back after missing the Exeter loss while loan signing David Worrall has missed some training this week with dental problems.

Jimmy Ryan, however, returns from Republic of Ireland Under 21 duty where he played two full games while Blackburn midfielder, Australian international Rostyn Griffiths, signed on a one month’s loan on Monday.

The 20-year-old is expected to play some part tomorrow having previously been on loan at Gretna and played in the Scottish Premier League.

"We only have a squad of 20 and to have six out is a real strain on us," said Reds’ assistant manager Jimmy Bell. "It was telling on us at Exeter."

And the management are determined to bring more players in now the loan transfer window has reopened.

Ex-Derby striker Anthony Robinson is still on trial with the Reds while, apart from Jamie Clarke and Paul Mullin, Fola Onibuje is the only out-and-out striker.

Bell continued: "We do have a very thin squad and we need to bring more players in to put pressure on others, especially up front.

"We have to have hungry strikers who want to be scoring goals.

"Both Paul Mullin and Jimmy Clarke are top strikers and can do a lot of damage in this league but we need to keep every player on his toes.

"That’s why we need to bring more players in to keep on top of them and put a bit of pressure on them."

IAN Craney scored his first ever League One goal as he struck the winner for Huddersfield Town against Cheltenham on Saturday.

The midfielder fired home from 25 yards to give the Terriers, who he moved to last month from Stanley for around £200,000, their first win of the season.

Elsewhere in the Blue Square Premier League, ex-Red Lee McEvilly has six goals for Cambridge while Shaun Whalley has four for Wrexham.

Former Stanley striker Roscoe Dsane has been made available for loan by current club Torquay United.

STANLEY reserves play at home to Morecambe next Wednesday in the second string cup competition. Kick off is 7pm.

A mixture of youth and first teamers lost to Tranmere 2-0 on Wednesday at Prenton Park.

Burnley-born Adnan Ahmed got one of the goals for Rovers.
