Accrington Stanley captain Andy Procter has signed for Preston North End, it was confirmed today.
The Reds skipper, who has spent 10 years at the Crown Ground, was a target of new North End boss Graham Westley in the summer while he was in charge at Stevenage.
Procter was on his way to Aldershot with the Stanley team this morning but is believed to have linked up with Preston to hold talks.
A five-figure fee is thought to be involved.
