STANLEY have just 16 players signed on for next season after John Coleman made his contract decisions today (Tuesday).

Perhaps the surprise release was ex-Everton midfielder Jay Harris who won the Supporter's Young Player of the Season on Saturday night.

Striker Shaun Whalley, who has played the last part of the season, will also not be offered a new deal along with Graham Branch, David Brown, Mark King, David Mannix, Leighton McGivern, Mark Roberts and Sean Webb.

Young Accrington-born goalie Martin Fearon has also been released.

Kenny Arthur had a clause in his contract which triggered another year after he played 20 games while Ian Dunbavin and Players' Player of the Season Phil Edwards have been offered new deals.

Already under contract are Andy Procter, Peter Cavanagh, Leam Richardson, Robbie Williams, Paul Mullin and Ian Craney while teenagers Jay Bell, Peter Murphy, Chris Turner, Bobby Grant and Andrew Smith signed new deals recently.

Paul Carden and John Miles have another year to run on their contracts although they are loaned out at Cambridge and MK Dons respectively.
