STANLEY manager John Coleman is still locked in a relegation battle with just four games left to play.

The Reds chalked up a much-needed home win on Saturday against play-off chasing Peterborough with Andy Todd scoring in the second and the last minute - and Jay Harris grabbing the other - to seal a vital three points.

But they lost to league leaders Hartlepool on Easter Monday after a controversial penalty decision.

Godwin Antwi seemed to get the ball when he tackled Richie Barker in the area but the referee pointed to the spot.

Barker fired home - after missing a spot kick in the first half - to almost send Pool into League One.

And there was more misery for Stanley when sub Andy Mangan was sent off for kicking out at captain Michael Nelson - although the ten-man Reds did pile the pressure on in the final minutes.

"Hartlepool are a top side but we nullified them and to get one dubious penalty decision given against you is bad enough but two is unthinkable in the same game," slammed Coleman. "And Andy Mangan wants shooting for what he has done.

"But Harlepool are someone we must emulate - they have got consistency and if we can get that we might be knocking on the door of the play-offs or promotion in the next couple of seasons."

Stanley currently sit five points above the drop zone.
