ACCRINGTON Stanley are hoping people will sign up to be part of a winning team and become stewards with the Reds next season.

The club need 44 stewards, aged 18-55, for their return to the Football League who will be trained free of charge to NVQ Level Two standard in Training and Spectator Control, which is a nationally recognised qualification.

The stewards will be paid the minimum wage and will work from 1-5pm on Saturday home games and from 5.45pm on week match-days.

The training will be given locally by Telford College tutors and will take place during several evenings over the summer. Once the qualification is achieved, stewards will be registered with the Football Association so they can be a steward at other football clubs and the NVQ Level Two is also recognised at other events like concerts, horse racing and cricket matches.

To get an application form, contact Mick Schultz at the club on 01254 838235. Stanley is an equal opportunities employer.
