ACCRINGTON Stanley chairman Eric Whalley has been at the League AGM in Portugal this week as the Reds were officially declared a League club.

ACCRINGTON Stanley chairman Eric Whalley has been at the League AGM in Portugal this week as the Reds were officially declared a League club.

Stanley have also been accepted in the Pontins reserve League for next season and are in Division One West.

Other teams in the league are: Bury, Blackpool, Burnley, Carlisle, Chester, Manchester City, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, Tranmere Rovers and Wrexham.

The youth team will be run by Phil Hackney and are going to compete in the Football League Youth Alliance.
