ACCRINGTON Stanley came from behind to extend their lead to 14 points at the top of the Conference table.
Stanley were trailing 2-1 at the break to the play-off hopefuls following goals from Clayton Donaldson and top scorer Andy Bishop with Paul Mullin replying for the Reds.
But they turned into top gear in the season half with David Brown scoring from the penalty spot two minutes after the restart.
Mullin added a second on 67 minutes and three minutes later Ian Craney spun in the area to fire home a crucial fourth.
Phil Edwards gave away a penalty at the death but keeper Rob Elliot denied Bishop.
As Stanley celebrated their win at KitKat Crescent, the news came through that nearest rivals Hereford had lost to the joy of the travelling 400-strong support.
