Peter Murphy performed another rescue act to salvage a point for Accrington and edge the resurgent Reds off the bottom of League Two.

Murphy struck in stoppage time at Morecambe last week to make it back-to-back wins for Stanley.

And the fans' favourite repeated the feat to stretch Stanley's unbeaten run to five matches.

Centre-half Anthony Stewart had given Wycombe a 72nd-minute lead before Murphy equalised with virtually the last kick of the game.

Manager James Beattie made one enforced change, with the fit-again Lawrie Wilson replacing left-back Lee Naylor after he picked up a hamstring injury in training.

But Stanley struggled with the wet, windy conditions early on as Sam Wood and Josh Scowen fired wide for Wycombe while Stanley keeper Marcus Bettinelli parried a low strike by Paris Cowan-Hall.

Matt McClure then fired over before Bettinelli turned wide Stuart Lewis' 20-yard strike, with Kortney Hause heading wide from the corner.

But Stanley finished the half strongly, with James Gray heading well wide from a Nicky Hunt cross.

The rain got even heavier at the start of the second half, during which Dean Morgan fired into Stanley's side-netting.

Gray then pounced on an error by Stewart but his shot was too close to visiting keeper Matt Ingram.

Bettinelli then made a fine double save to deny Marvin McCoy and McClure, but he had no chance as a left-wing corner was flicked on for Stewart to volley in off a post.

Mingoia forced a save from Ingram before firing over as Stanley chased an equaliser.

And it came in the fourth minute of stoppage time as George Bowerman's cross was flicked on by fellow substitute Kayode Odejayi for Murphy to volley home from close range.
