ACCRINGTON CC have re-signed professional Tama Canning for the coming Musbury Fabrics Lancashire League season.
The New Zealander was a star for Accrington last summer with 1033 runs - and a high score of 151 not out - and 60 wickets. He missed the last two weekends of the season after a call-up to the New Zealand A side and he also received a full international call-up this winter but the weather denied him.
"We are pleased to have him back," said chairman Rod Kenyon. "It is absolutely brilliant. I hope he will carry on where he left off last year with bringing the youngsters at the club on.
"He said to us there was only one Lancashire League club he would come to even though a few others were interested and that was us because we gave him his first break - he has been loyal to us.
"We recieved a signed contract this week so we are relieved," he added.
