ACCRINGTON have named Damian Clarke as the team captain for the 2003 season.
He will be aiming to inspire his team to victory in the Lancashire League and Worsley Cup after agreeing to take on the role again.
Ian Wilson takes on the role of first-team manager and his son Matt retains the vice-captaincy.
Professional Andre Seymore, who has been lured back to Thorneyholme Road, will be determined to build on his success with the bat last season when he became the club's third highest run scorer in history behind Australians Bobby Simpson and Ken Archer.
Seymore has been receiving coaching on his bowling back home in South Africa in a bid to improve on his output of 14 wickets last season.
Len Dewhurst and David Kennedy have been re-appointed second and third team captains respectively.
Accrington will play two pre-season friendly games before travelling to Acre Bottom to take on Ramsbot-tom on Sunday 20 April.
On Saturday 12 April Accrington entertain Ribblesdale League side Clitheroe and the following day they travel to the Stanning Mem-orial Ground to take on Northern Premier League side Leyland.
