The Redz Club end of the month prize night was fantastic fun - and the young Stanley fans had an extra boost when first team players Chris Turner and captain Andrew Procter turned up.

The Stanley players chatted to children, played football and table tennis, posed for photos and signed autographs.

All children who attended were given prizes including signed photos, signed shirts and the top prize of a Mascot experience for a first team match including full kit which was won by Josh Fisher who was the top points scorer for February.

It was nice to see the amount of children at the event and especially the amount wearing Accrington Stanley branded gear and this was something which the players also commented on.

We hope for an even better March and look forward to the prize night at the end of the month.

The club will run every Tuesday from 4.15-6.15pm at New Era, Accrington and has been a phenomenal success with more than 30 children coming to the event which has only been running for a month.

It has also been a good week for the development centres which were attended by more than 70 children.

The girls development centre had a massive improvement in turnout last Friday which was brilliant and we hope will be even better this week with the aim of getting it as popular as the three development centres on Monday evenings which brought in over 60 children over the course of the three hours.

Tomorrow, we have another Matchday Club for the Notts County match which we are hoping will be as popular as the previous ones this year.

All children aged between five and 12 years of age are welcome with the club starting at 1pm at St. Christophers and finishing with a pick up from The Crown Ground at 5pm. Let’s hope for a great day and another massive three points for Stanley.

On Monday morning we did a presentation for the Community Cup for both the winners St. Marys Oswaldtwistle and runners-up West End.

All players that took part were given certificates and these were presented by Martin Fearon and Liam Smith from Accrington Stanley.

Left is the winning team St. Marys Oswaldtwistle and features all their players alongside Liam, Martin and Headteacher Mr Wells.

Congratulations to all children from St. Marys, West End and all of the teams who took part. We wish St. Marys the best of luck in the Regional finals held in Bradford on 20 April.

For more details on any of these please look at the Community pages on the official website, call 01254 356950, email or come into our office at The Crown Ground.
