NINE-YEAR-OLD Daniel Battrick can boast what only a few kick boxers can - an unbeaten record.

Despite his tender age, Fit to Fight kick boxer Daniel has had 12 fights - and won all of them.

And Brandon Hargreaves, also nine, is hoping to catch up with Daniel as he has just won his second fight.

The pairs latest wins came when they took part in their first competition of the year in Shropshire.

It is one of five events being held in 2008 with the most successful candidates being put forward to challenge for area and national sparring titles.

Brandon was first in the ring and was taken aback by his opponents fast start in round one.

But, in round two, Brandon got forward, backing his opponent into the ropes and scoring a knockdown.

With one round each, Brandon secured the victory in the third with a well-timed front kick, sending his opponent to the canvas.

It was then Daniel’s turn to preserve his unbeaten record and he was always in charge against a local fighter.

In the second round, he scored points with a spinning hook kick and, in the third, with a spinning back kick to win easily.
