FC United 0 Great Harwood 1: THERE'S nothing like spoiling a party!

Great Harwood chalked up their result of the season when they beat league champions FC United with a last gasp goal.

Ryan Fisher's winner in front of a staggering 6,023 at Gigg Lane meant the presenting of the NWCL Division Two trophy to United didn't quite go to plan. It was only FC United's third defeat of the season.

"We were tremendous," said Harwood boss John Hughes. "We have taken four points off the league champions and it shows the kind of performances we can put in. It was a great occasion."

And Harwood continued their run of form with a 1-0 victory over Padiham on Monday. This time Blackburn scored the winner in the 73rd minute in front of a more sedate 113.

It has put Harwood within touching distance of third place if results go their way.

They are at home to Oldham Town tomorrow and then, on Monday are at home to Cheadle (both kick off 3pm).
