THERE are some sharp-shooters at Hollins Techology College as both the Under 14s and Under 16s teams won the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Basketball League.
It was the first year the Under 14s competed in a league and Hollins had a spring in their stride with the players reaching the Lancashire Cup quarter-finals and they went through their league unbeaten to clinch the crown.
And the Under 16s only lost one game to win their league which was played over several weeks.
"Both teams have worked really hard," said Head of PE Keith Vizzard. "The Under 14s have rarely missed a practice and put in a lot of time."
The team was also well-kitted out as Ashley O'Rourke's parents, who plays for the Under 14 side, sponsored a new strip for both teams.
