GREAT Harwood go on the hunt for silverware tomorrow (Sat) as they travel to Cheadle Town in the Division Two Trophy quarter-finals (ko 3pm).

Main opponents FC United lost to Nelson in their semi-final which denies the Robins lucrative final tie if they do get through.

But Harwood boss John Hughes still wants to win the cup.

"A trophy is there to be won and we won't be fielding an understrength side, we will be fielding a side who I think can win the game against Cheadle," he said.

"We beat them earlier on in the season and I hope we can do it again. It is a hard place to go as they are a good side, while the pitch isn't the best."

Harwood are looking to bounce back after losing their 10 league game unbeaten run in a controversial clash against New Mills on Saturday.

Midfielder Dennis Hill was sent off for a comment made to the referee - but Hughes said it came from the crowd.

"It was over near the touchline and there was a comment from the crowd, the referee heard it and Dennis was stood near by and he sent him off," said the bemused boss. "We don't know whether to appeal or not as we don't know whether it will be worth it."

Harwood's John Eastham missed a penalty while Lee Wakefield scored his spot kick for the win. As well as the red card there were also seven bookings.

"New Mills are a decent side," continued Hughes. "They have a new manager who has brought in some good players and they have improved.

"But we didn't deserve to lose the game and now we want to bounce back and put in a good performance."

Harwood are back in league action on Monday when they take on Holker Old Boys in a rearranged game at the Interlink (ko 7.45pm).
