ACCRINGTON Cricket Club retained the Under 13s trophy in a tense finale to make it four wins in five years for this age group.
The Steve Dickenson Ltd Indoor Cricket League has been running in Hyndburn since 2003 and has evolved from an Under 13s competition to also include Under 11s and Under 15s.
The 2007 event started with the Under 13s.
Accrington came through their group stages notching up wins against both Baxenden and Enfield and looking determined to retain their crown.
In the other group, Oswaldtwistle Immanuel enjoyed two impressive wins over Great Harwood and Rishton without the loss of any wickets.
The scene was set for the final in which Accrington were sent into bat first.
The Oswaldtwistle side put in an accomplished fielding effort restricting Accrington to a score of 206.
Looking like the underdogs, Accrington managed three early wickets and had Immanuel chasing the game. Five more wickets followed and Oswaldtwistle could only make it to 190 to leave Accrington celebrating more cup success.
