KNUZDEN Youth FC are now planning two residential football competitions for 2003 making it the 19th time they have competed against teams from all parts of the world.

The new Under-11's, the fourth generation to play at this age, will compete in the Blackpool International Spring Festival. Their Squad is: Kristyan Denwood (Capt), Dean Tomlinson, Chris Croft, Josh Wogden, Danny Cruickshank, Nathan Marsden, Ben Walkden, Jareth Ballen, James Roberts, Jordan McQuarrie, Ricky McGrew and Aaron Peacock.

The Under-16's will be entering the Umbro International Festival for the third time.

This is the biggest competition in the UK and Knuzden are aiming to go one better than last year, when they reached the semi-finals of the Plate Competition defeating teams from South Africa, Cheshire and Manchester along the way.

Meanwhile, Knuzden FC's senior side continued their long unbeaten run in the Blackburn Sunday League by beating a good Bee Hive side 3-0 at Pleasington. The side is unbeaten since September and the win keeps them up at the top of the table.

Leading striker Ryan Walsh and Ryan Hoyle got the goals and an own goal completed the score. Centre Back Adam Douglas was named man of the match after a superb game.
