GREAT Harwood are hoping to be party poopers tomorrow (Sat) when they face NWCL Division Two champions FC United at Gigg Lane.
The Robins make the trip to Bury for what is FC United's last home game of the season.
"They are expecting about 4,000 people on so we would like to spoil the party," said boss John Hughes.
"We played well against them at the Interlink and drew so I hope we can put on another good performance and not the one we put on against Darwen on Monday when we lost 2-1.
"That was rubbish and I have never seen a Great Harwood side put on a worse performance.
"We had beaten Norton 1-0 on Saturday and because it was a local derby on Monday, I expected the players would be up for it.
"But it was a poor show and I was disappointed.
"Hopefully they will show me what they can do tomorrow."
Then they face Padiham on Monday at the Interlink (ko 7.45) as they aim to improve on their current sixth place.
"We have two big games and we need to win them as the promotion still isn't sorted out so we have got to finish as high up the league as possible.
"Our problem this season is that we haven't been consistent.
"We had a poor start then went on a great run but we have been hit and miss since then."
It doesn't help that Harwood are without John Eastham who is running the London Marathon on Sunday.
