RISHTON will lose professional Vernon Philander for a month as he was forced to go back home this week with an ankle injury.

The South African sprained his ankle last Sunday and his state side Cape Cobras have advised him to return home for medical treatment.

"We are disappointed," said chairman Rod Simpson. "He had made a good start and has impressed everyone at the club."

He is likely to miss five games and Rishton will call on South African Justin Kreusch, currently at Blackpool, for their league clash on Sunday.
