LEGENDARY Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee is set to appear at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-Le-Moors at a Sportsmans' Dinner on Friday 5 August.
A much sought after speaker, Lillee is on of the all time greats of the game, having taken 355 Test wickets in a career that spanned 1971-1984.
After making his Test debut in the 1970-71 Ashes Series Down Under, Lillee came to Haslingden as professional in 1971, taking 68 wickets at 16.8.

- CHURCH CC have their first friendly of the season when they travel to Ormskirk on Sunday.

They have organised two more friendlies. They travel to Springview in the Manchester Association League on April 10 and Central Lancashire League side Stand on April 16.
Meanwhile Ribblesdale League side Baxenden will travel to Burnley on Saturday 9 April while Lancashire League team Rishton face Read at home.
On 10 April, Accrington make the short trip to Clitheroe while Enfield are at home to Read.
