FOOTBALL-crazy Sarah Arbuary is a shooting star at Blackburn Rovers' centre of excellence.

Sarah, 14, of Blackburn Road, Accrington, is nicknamed Zola by her team-mates at Darwen Ladies' Football Club.

She has also played for Everton and Burnley and has been admitted to the Rovers' centre of excellence.

Proud dad Peter said: "She went with the Blackburn team to the Warwick Festival of Football where the best 600 girl players from 40 centres of excellence were assessed by England scouts.

"She was the only girl from Accrington and her team beat Brighton and Hove Albion, Lincoln City, Northampton Town and Arsenal. They also had 0-0 draws against Sheffield United and Aston Villa. Girls' football is the fastest-growing sport in the country at the moment and Rovers provide some of the best girl players," he added.
