BAXENDEN will be on the hunt for a new professional next season after deciding to release Jonathan Harvey.
The 34-year-old batsman has been at Back Lane for four seasons but chairman John Irwin says the club has decided to have a change for the 2005 Veka Ribblesdale League season.
"There are no hard feelings. We are not dissatisfied with him but we just fancied a change," said the chairman.
"He has done nothing wrong but a change will be good for us and good for him."
"There has never been any problems with Jon as a pro but we just want to announce it now so we can start putting plans in place for next season and so can he. It was Jon's request to go public with it so everyone knows what is happening."
Baxenden are currently fourth from bottom of the table.
