ACCRINGTON Golf Club member Nicky Foster has been selected for England coaching.
The 11-year-old, the daughter of one of Accrington's most famous golfers Trevor, will have five sessions of group coaching and one-to-one treatment with England's finest.
"It is prestigious," said her dad. "She has done really well. She has only been playing golf since last July, so around 14 months, and he has the potential to do well.
"It is her power-hitting. She can hit the ball so far and just gets the timing right. She has a better swing than her dad!"
It has been an eventful couple of weeks for Nicky who also played for Lancashire Girls - she was called up at the last minute - and helped them overcome Lancashire Boys, which included her older brother Ryan.
