GREAT HARWOOD footballer David Dunn was up for the cup on Sunday.

The former Blackburn Rovers player was guest of honour alongside the Premiership trophy as Hyndburn Sports Centre celebrated its 30th birthday.

The Birmingham midfielder - linked with a move back to Ewood Park in the January transfer window - made a special trip for the Sports Centre's big day.

People took the chance to have their photograph taken with the Premiership trophy - currently held by Chelsea - for the charge of £1 per photo with all the proceeds going to a newly created fund to support talented athletes in Hyndburn.

There were also organised events at the Sports Centre to celebrate the anniversary which included a football tournament, gymnastic celebrations and coaching in sports like scuba diving and basketball.
