ANDREW Bartley will be the new skipper at Rishton Cricket Club for this coming season.

Wicketkeeper Bartley takes over from former Australian Test hero Peter Sleep, who has retired.

The 30-year-old did captain the side in Sleep's absence at the start of last season so he does have previous experience.

The club have lost bowler Richard Rostron who has gone on to be a professional at Blackrod in the Bolton Assocation but former captain Scott Greaves is back after taking a year out.
