CRICKETER Toby Bulcock was a double award winner at a Lancashire CCC presentation evening held in Blackburn.

The 14-year-old won the Cricketer of the Year for the Under 14 county side and the best all-rounder. He averaged 59.29 with the bat, scoring 237 runs in nine innings. He was also the star fielder taking six catches. And , with the ball, he bowled 54 overs taking six wickets at an average of 25.16 with a best 3-27.

Thanks to his success with bat and ball, Baxenden cricketer Toby has now been picked for the North of England Under 15 squad and will spend the winter at Durham, Yorkshire and Lancashire Academies.

And he hopes this will help him to come back even stronger next summer with more appearances for the Baxenden first team and more Lancashire games.

Hollins Technology College pupil Toby is on the look-out for sponsorship and anyone who can help, call Mrs Bulcock on 01254 389169.
