Triathletes pedal, swim and dash for cash

NINE teams representing Leisure in Hyndburn and Accrington and Rossendale College took part in a Children in Need triathlon with the winning team being Leisure In Hyndburn Sports Centre staff.

NINE teams representing Leisure in Hyndburn and Accrington and Rossendale College took part in a Children in Need triathlon with the winning team being Leisure In Hyndburn Sports Centre staff.

The Leisure In Hyndburn Team ran a combined 98.3km, cycled 251.4km and swam 20.5km.

The triumphant student team, team Orange, ran 64.0km, cycled 232.4km and swam 17.1km.

In total, the teams cycled nearly 1,700km, ran over 630km and swam more than 135km, the equivalent of Hyndburn to Leiria in Portugal.
